Racing this Weekend May 19-20 at Rock Falls Raceway -- Test Day, Jr. Drags, Sat Nite Special & Bracket Drag Race $1000 to WIN!!

Are you ready for a fun-filled weekend of drag racing?� I know I am.� Looks like we are going to have some summer weather to start off the weekend.

�

Rock Falls Raceway� has a�huge weekend (May 19-20) of drag racing in store for everyone!!��It's our�3rd�Bracket Race (for points) and it's technically our�2nd Jr. Dragster Race, but the 1st one got rained out, so its kind of the first Jr. Race of the 2012 Season.� Just remember, Bracket Races are Open to ALL Racers!!� We hope you'll be able to join us whether it's coming out to race or just to watch!!

�Here's what's on the schedule for this weekend:

Saturday, May�19 --��Test Day, Jr. Dragsters�& Sat. Nite Special�

Test Day Runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Gates Open at 7:30 a.m.

Test Day starts at 9 a.m.

Cost: Please read for Explanation!! $69 + $10 = $79/Car & Driver $10 + $10 = $20/Per Crew
Because we consider the Saturday Test Day/Sunday Bracket Race a 2-day event, we charge for a 2-day armband on Saturday for EVERYONE who comes in the gate. Now, if you are NOT staying or planning to come back for the Sunday Bracket Race, when you leave on Saturday, you turn your armband back in at the front gate where you got them and you will get $10 back on the armband. As such, the Test Day then still only costs you $69 for Car/Driver and Crew is still $10/each. Again, you do get your money back for the armband as long as you stop and turn it in. You cannot keep the armband until the next time and say "oh I forgot to turn this in". That will not work. It must be turned in when you leave on Saturday, NO exceptions!! Its r eally that easy.

Saturday, May 12 --��$40 Fun Race,�All Car Club Race & High School Challenge Race

Gates Open at 7:30 a.m.
Time Trials start at 9 a.m.
Eliminations around 1 p.m.
Fun Race -- It's just $40 to race or $10 to watch.� Race for Money or for Trophies -- same price!!
Race in the Money Class or�Pro ET�(for vehicles with No�electronics which means no delay boxes or throttle stops).� Pays $250/Win; $100/RU; $50/Semis.�
Or Race�for Trophies in one of our two trophy classes -- Street Eliminator (vehicles 13.00 and slower) or King of the Hill (vehicles 12.99 and quicker).� Win�2 rounds in either class and win a Trophy!!
FREE Consolation Race to anyone (who is racing on Sat. May 12) and�who loses 1st or 2nd round of their class.� $100/Win; $50/RU and final 4 racers receive trophies!!
All Car Club Race --� Are you a member of a car club?� If so, have any of you ever thought of bringing your car out to the drag strip to see what it could really do?� Maybe challenge a friend or even someone else from another car club?� Well if you answered "yes" to any of these questions, now is the time to finally do it.� Come see how much fun you can really have.� It's just $40 to race or $10 to�watch.� Run time runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then eliminations.� We will run the eliminator in bracket style format (which means with dial-ins).
All High School Challenge Race -- Open to any high school student with a valid driver's license (no one with a driver's learner permit can race).� Race against other high school students whether they are from your school or another.� Come have some fun and race against other students your own age.� A Minor Release is required and can be signed the day of the event by your parent's or contact Jennifer at (715) 858-0170 or at jennifer@rockfallsraceway.com to obtain the Release prior to the event.� It can be easily emailed.� Tell your friends and pass the word!!� This will be lots of fun!� It's $40 to race or $10 to watch!!

Are you all ready for a fun-filled weekend of drag racing?� I know I am.� It's been a kind of long..... winter and I am sure you all know what I mean by that. Whether the winter was a mild one this year or not, its still nice for it to be over with, so we can get back to doing what we love -- DRAG RACING!!� Looks like the weather is going to cooperate this weekend so that's a BIG plus!!� Should see some quick ETs out there.� Looks to be in the mid 50s for both days!� Just a slight chance of rain but that is for the Saturday evening/Very Early Sunday Morning, so both of the days for racing should be good to go!!!!

Looks�like we are going to have decent weather for the weekend after all, despite what the weather forecasters had previously indicated.� Yippee!!� No Rain until maybe the evening hours on Saturday nite but the days are supposed to be dry!! Don't forget....�Rock Falls Raceway has its 2012 Season Opener this Saturday, April 7 -- It's a Saturday Fun Race!!� Hope you can join us!!

Here's the info on our first opening event of 2012:

Saturday, April�7 -- Saturday Fun Race

Gates open at 7:30 a.m.
Time Trials at 9 a.m.
Eliminations at 1 p.m.
Come race for money or for trophies -- same price, just $40.� Come Watch for just $10/Adults, Kids (8-12) $5, Under 8 FREE and Seniors $8.
Race in the Money Class or Pro ET (for vehicles with No Electronics (i.e., Delay Box or Throttle Stop) --
Pays $250/Win; $100/RU & $50/Semis.
Race in the Trophy Classes (Street Eliminator 13.00 & Slower or King of the Hill 12.99 & Quicker) -- Win 2 rounds, win a Trophy!!

Chassis Certification -- If you have a vehicle that runs 9.99 or quicker or over 135 mph in the 1/4 mile you MUST have your chassis certified before you can run/race. Anyone who's chassis is already certified needs to check their chassis sticker to see if you are up for renewal in 2012. The chassis stickers are good for 3 years, then the vehicle needs to be re-certified. Rock Falls Raceway will be holding a Chassis Certification on our first Test Day on Saturday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the track. If you need to get it certified (for the 1st time) or a re-certification, please contact Jennifer at (715) 858-0170 or by email at jennifer@rockfallsraceway.com to get your name added to the list. The cost of the chassis sticker is $150 and that gets paid directly to NHRA the day of the certification. The track is charging $10 per person to get in the gate. You can also test and license that day if you'd like (of course at an additional cost).

�

Helmets -- REMINDER: If you own or use a Snell 2000 helmet for racing, please be advised that these helmets ARE NOW EXPIRED and you will need to get a Snell 2005 or newer helmet for racing starting this year. Only those who run 13.99 or quicker need the new updated helmets. So, if you run 14.00 or slower the older model Snell helmets will still work just fine. But please make sure to check your helmet and remind your friends too. The SNELL 2000 models will NOT be allowed for use if you are running 13.99 or quicker!!

�

Motorized Pit Vehicles -- Continuing this season at ALL Division 5 NHRA racetracks is a requirement that all Motorized Pit Vehicles (Scooters, Sprees, Golf Carts, 4-Wheelers, etc) be registered at the Racetrack in order to be operated at the track. Here is how this will work. The first time you come out to the Rock or any other D5 racetrack, you will be asked to register your pit vehicle. The cost to do this is just $10. You will need to purchase a registration for EACH motorized pit vehicle you have. (So, if you have a scooter/spree and a golf cart, you will need to buy a registration for each and it will cost you $10 per vehicle, $20 total.) You will fill out the registration form and then the track will provide you with a registration sticker that will be put on your pit vehicle. This sticker will be good at ALL NHRA Div 5 race tracks for any event (EXCEPT National Events) . You will not have to purchase a Pit Vehicle Sticker/Registration at each D5 track you go to. This Pit Vehicle Registration is not optional. If you want to use your motorized pit vehicle at the track, then you MUST purchase a registration or you will not be allowed to operate the motorized pit vehicle. This new requirement is being done for the your protection and the racetracks. By signing the registration papers, you are taking full responsibility for the pit vehicle (no matter who you allow to drive it) and any liability caused as a result of any incident that it may be involved in and that causes injury or damage to anyone else or their property. Also a reminder that NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 who does not have a valid driver's license is allowed to operate any motorized vehicle at the track (race car or pit vehicle) unless they possess a Jr Dragster License which allows them to drive a Jr Dragster only. All Pit Vehicles MUST also display the owner's competition number as well as the Registration Sticker. The Pit Vehicle Registration Stickers will be good for one full season/year and then will be renewed the following season/year. If you would like to get a registration form prior to coming out and have it all filled out and ready to go when you get to the track or would like to take care of the registration prior to the race season starting, please contact Jennifer at (715) 858-0170 or by email at jennifer@rockfallsraceway.com . I can email or fax the forms.

Looking for some Good Employees -- Rock Falls Raceway is looking for a few of people who are automotively knowledgeable, dependable, like drag racing and have knowledge of drag racing that would like to work in Tech Inspection and Staging at the Rock. Also looking for concession stand/timeslip booth workers as well. Rock Falls Raceway 2012 Season -- Opening Sat. April 7

Hi Everyone --

�

Well here it is, it's finally Spring and I am not sure we could have asked for a nicer one, so far. Can you believe these temps we've had (70s and low 80s for the middle of March)?? That's just CRAZY!! But crazy or not, I will take them!! March has definitely been out of the ordinary so far, but in a very GOOD way!! Last March was AWESOME too, if I remember correctly. So, if this is a new trend and we are cutting our winters short by a month, I am all for it, no complaints here whatsoever!!

�

As you may or may not have seen Rock Falls Raceway has its 2012 Drag Racing Schedule posted on our website. We open in just two short weeks, on Saturday, April 7 with a Saturday Fun Race. Our 2012 Drag Racing Season flyer will be arriving in your mailboxes any day now, so watch for it.

�

Here's just a quick update on a couple of things for the upcoming 2012 racing season.

�

Chassis Certification -- If you have a vehicle that runs 9.99 or quicker or over 135 mph in the 1/4 mile you MUST have your chassis certified before you can run/race. Anyone who's chassis is already certified needs to check their chassis sticker to see if you are up for renewal in 2012. The chassis stickers are good for 3 years, then the vehicle needs to be re-certified. Rock Falls Raceway will be holding a Chassis Certification on our first Test Day on Saturday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the track. If you need to get it certified (for the 1st time) or a re-certification, please contact Jennifer by email at jennifer@rockfallsraceway.com�or by phone at (715)858-0170 to get your name added to the list. The cost of the chassis sticker is $150 and that gets paid directly to NHRA the day of the certification. The track is charging $10 per person to get in the gate. You can also test and license that day if you'd like (of course at an additional cost).

�

Looking for Some Good Employees -- Rock Falls Raceway is looking for a few people who are automotively knowledgeable, dependable, like drag racing and have knowledge of drag racing that would like to work in Tech Inspection and Staging at the Rock. Also looking for concession stand/timeslip booth workers as well as possibly a person or two for the starting line. Saturday, April 7 -- Saturday Fun Race

Gates open at 7:30 a.m.
Time Trials at 9 a.m.
Eliminations at 1 p.m.
Come race for money or for trophies -- same price, just $40.
Race in the Money Class or Pro ET (for vehicles with No Electronics (i.e., Delay Box or Throttle Stop) -- Pays $250/Win; $100/RU & $50/Semis.
Race in the Trophy Classes (Street Eliminator 13.00 & Slower or King of the Hill 12.99 & Quicker) -- Win 2 rounds, win a Trophy!!
FREE Consolation Race to anyone who loses 1st or 2nd round of their eliminator. Pays $100/Win; $50/RU and final 4 receive trophies!

Sunday Morning October 30 Update --

Due to the cold and wet conditions as well as the forecast for continued wet weather today, we have CANCELLED the Sport Compact Race at Rock Falls Raceway for Today, Sunday, October 30!!

This wraps up our season of Drag Racing at Rock Falls Raceway for 2011!! We thank you for your continued support of drag racing at Rock Falls Raceway.

Racing this Weekend October 15-16 at Rock Falls Raceway -- LAST Test Day, SNS & Bracket Drag Race -- $1000 to Win

Hello Everyone --

�

Well as we all know, October is here and we have had a variety of weather so far this month.� Everything from frost to 80 degree temps!!� That's Wisconsin and October for ya!!� Well this weekend's weather looks good!!� We are looking at upper 50s to low 60s for temps and pretty much no chance of rain!!� So.... that's all a good thing.� Just think of what kinds of ETs and 60 ft times you'll be getting in this cooler weather.�

�

We only have a couple of weekends left of drag racing (weather permitting), so please plan accordingly.�

�

On that note, we hope you will come out and join us at Rock Falls Raceway� for the LAST Test & Tune Day of 2011 on Saturday, October�15 and the last Bracket Drag Race (for points that is) on Sunday, October 16.� Remember the Bracket Races are OPEN TO ALL CARS, TRUCKS, MUSCLE CARS, IMPORTS, BIKES & SLEDS!!� You do NOT need to be in the RFR points series to attend any of these bracket race events, so please come on out and join us.�

�

A couple of quick things before I get on to the schedule of our weekend's events!!

�

E.T. FINALS -- Team Rock Falls Raceway finished tied for 3rd place (out of 20 Teams) at the Division 5 E.T. Finals just a few weeks ago.� We had a great time and I want to thank my Team for their support, their efforts�and for making the journey to Brainerd.�

Although no one on our RFR Team�won any of the classes at the ET Finals, we did have a few racers who do race at the Rock earn some of those spots and they will be heading off to�Pomona, CA next month to compete in the World Finals, so congrats to them.� Winner of Super Pro was Gary Koch, Winner of Pro ET was Brandon Schmall and runner-up was Jim Noben!!� All of these guys did a great job and we're proud of them and happy for their accomplishments!!� Good luck in Pomona guys!!��

Finally, thank you to Mel and Deb�Knott and�Joe Marx and�for putting on our Team Rock Cookout on Friday nite.� They did a great job with the Pulled Pork and fixings, as usual.� We are alway s the best fed team there.� Also "thanks"�for providing us with food throughout the entire weekend.� Thanks so much, again, couldn't have done it without you!!� Team Rock Falls is the BEST!!�

Saturday, October�15 --��LAST�Test Day & Sat. Nite Special for 2011 Season�

Test Day Runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Gates Open at 7:30 a.m.
Test Day starts at 9 a.m.
Saturday Nite Special --�3:30 p.m.� -- �One time run and then right in to eliminations.� If you've been testing it's just $30 to enter.� If you have not, you can still race it's just $49 to enter.��Box and No Box vehicles are separated until the total field reaches 16 or less at which time they�are combined on a ladder for the final rounds of competition.� Payout is $500/Win;�$200/RU and $100/Semis for 33 cars or more 1st Rd.� (If 32 cars or less in 1st rd. payout reverts to Gambler's Format).�

Sunday, October 16�--�Bracket Drag Race -- $1000 to Win & King of the Track Race

Open to ALL Racers !!!
Gates Open at 7:00 a.m.
Time Trials at 8:30 a.m.
Eliminations at�12:00 p.m. (Noon) Approx.
Come out and race in Street Eliminator, King of the Hill or the Sport Compact Class.� Win 2 rounds and win a trophy!!�� $40/Entry.
Race in Super Pro or Pro ET Money Class -- $1000 to Win!!� Payout starts 3rd Rd.� $80/Entry.
High Noon Gamblers and No Gizmo Gambler Races held in the morning for all Money Car Racers.� We also have our Run for the Money and Guts Gambler.
Trophy Cars -- We will also have the Run for the Money in the morning along with the Last Chance Eliminator Race held after 2nd round of regular eliminations.� This is for anyone who loses 1st or 2nd round of regular eliminations in Street, King or Sport Compacts.� Just $10/Entry.
King of the Track Race -- We run our King of the Track Race as follows.� Top 2 in points going into this weekend (in each class Street, King, Pro and Super Pro) will race off (within each class) until 1 remains in each class.� The Street winner will then run the King winner and the Pro ET will run the Super Pro winner.� Once we are down to 1 money car and 1 trophy car, these two drivers will race off for the King of the Track Wally & Title.�

Souvenirs Update:� Remember Christmas is only 72 days away.� Stop by the Souvenir Stand and take a look at the Rock Falls Raceway souvenirs and pick out a nice t-shirt or awesome looking sweatshirt, hat or stocking cap for that someone special on your shopping list.� The RFR souvenirs are great for birthdays�or just to say "Thanks", "I Appreciate You" or "I Love You".� We have something everyone.� Kids sizes�2T to 14/16;�Adult sizes Small to 3XL as well as Ladies' sizes Small to 2XL.� We also have some stocking caps we just recently got in as well as some AWESOME looking sweatshirts!!

Well it's official, Fall is here!!!��I hate how we go from 80 degree weather right to 50's and 60's with a blink of an eye.�

�

But, when the cooler fall weather sets in, we all know what that means, quicker ET's, and who doesn't want their car/bike/sled to go faster!!!� Well now that the rain is done and gone (thank God) enough is enough, we can look forward to the weekend and some well deserved drag racing.��We have an�exciting weekend of drag racing�in store for you at�Rock Falls Raceway�!! �I hope�you'll come out and�join us, whether it's to race or to watch!!

This is our last Muscle Car Race of the season so we hope you can make it out!!

Weather for the weekend looks GREAT -- SUNNY!!� Low to Mid�60's�for Saturday�and�Upper 60's for Sunday -- No chance of rain for the weekend!!� YIPPEE!!�
