Sport Compact Race CANCELLED for Today, Sun. October 30!!!

Sunday Morning October 30 Update --

Due to the cold and wet conditions as well as the forecast for continued wet weather today, we have CANCELLED the Sport Compact Race at Rock Falls Raceway for Today, Sunday, October 30!!

This wraps up our season of Drag Racing at Rock Falls Raceway for 2011!! We thank you for your continued support of drag racing at Rock Falls Raceway.

We hope you have a great and safe off-season and wonderful holidays!! Take care and we hope to see you all in 2012!!

Racing this Weekend October 15-16 at Rock Falls Raceway -- LAST Test Day, SNS & Bracket Drag Race -- $1000 to Win

Hello Everyone --

�

Well as we all know, October is here and we have had a variety of weather so far this month.� Everything from frost to 80 degree temps!!� That's Wisconsin and October for ya!!� Well this weekend's weather looks good!!� We are looking at upper 50s to low 60s for temps and pretty much no chance of rain!!� So.... that's all a good thing.� Just think of what kinds of ETs and 60 ft times you'll be getting in this cooler weather.�

�

We only have a couple of weekends left of drag racing (weather permitting), so please plan accordingly.�

�

On that note, we hope you will come out and join us at Rock Falls Raceway� for the LAST Test & Tune Day of 2011 on Saturday, October�15 and the last Bracket Drag Race (for points that is) on Sunday, October 16.� Remember the Bracket Races are OPEN TO ALL CARS, TRUCKS, MUSCLE CARS, IMPORTS, BIKES & SLEDS!!� You do NOT need to be in the RFR points series to attend any of these bracket race events, so please come on out and join us.�

�

A couple of quick things before I get on to the schedule of our weekend's events!!

�

E.T. FINALS -- Team Rock Falls Raceway finished tied for 3rd place (out of 20 Teams) at the Division 5 E.T. Finals just a few weeks ago.� We had a great time and I want to thank my Team for their support, their efforts�and for making the journey to Brainerd.�

Although no one on our RFR Team�won any of the classes at the ET Finals, we did have a few racers who do race at the Rock earn some of those spots and they will be heading off to�Pomona, CA next month to compete in the World Finals, so congrats to them.� Winner of Super Pro was Gary Koch, Winner of Pro ET was Brandon Schmall and runner-up was Jim Noben!!� All of these guys did a great job and we're proud of them and happy for their accomplishments!!� Good luck in Pomona guys!!��

Finally, thank you to Mel and Deb�Knott and�Joe Marx and�for putting on our Team Rock Cookout on Friday nite.� They did a great job with the Pulled Pork and fixings, as usual.� We are alway s the best fed team there.� Also "thanks"�for providing us with food throughout the entire weekend.� Thanks so much, again, couldn't have done it without you!!� Team Rock Falls is the BEST!!�

Test Day Runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Gates Open at 7:30 a.m.
Test Day starts at 9 a.m.
Saturday Nite Special --�3:30 p.m.� -- �One time run and then right in to eliminations.� If you've been testing it's just $30 to enter.� If you have not, you can still race it's just $49 to enter.��Box and No Box vehicles are separated until the total field reaches 16 or less at which time they�are combined on a ladder for the final rounds of competition.� Payout is $500/Win;�$200/RU and $100/Semis for 33 cars or more 1st Rd.� (If 32 cars or less in 1st rd. payout reverts to Gambler's Format).�

Sunday, October 16�--�Bracket Drag Race -- $1000 to Win & King of the Track Race

Open to ALL Racers !!!
Gates Open at 7:00 a.m.
Time Trials at 8:30 a.m.
Eliminations at�12:00 p.m. (Noon) Approx.
Come out and race in Street Eliminator, King of the Hill or the Sport Compact Class.� Win 2 rounds and win a trophy!!�� $40/Entry.
Race in Super Pro or Pro ET Money Class -- $1000 to Win!!� Payout starts 3rd Rd.� $80/Entry.
High Noon Gamblers and No Gizmo Gambler Races held in the morning for all Money Car Racers.� We also have our Run for the Money and Guts Gambler.
Trophy Cars -- We will also have the Run for the Money in the morning along with the Last Chance Eliminator Race held after 2nd round of regular eliminations.� This is for anyone who loses 1st or 2nd round of regular eliminations in Street, King or Sport Compacts.� Just $10/Entry.
King of the Track Race -- We run our King of the Track Race as follows.� Top 2 in points going into this weekend (in each class Street, King, Pro and Super Pro) will race off (within each class) until 1 remains in each class.� The Street winner will then run the King winner and the Pro ET will run the Super Pro winner.� Once we are down to 1 money car and 1 trophy car, these two drivers will race off for the King of the Track Wally & Title.�

Racing at Rock Falls Raceway this Weekend -- October 1-2 Fun Race & Muscle Car Race

Well it's official, Fall is here!!!��I hate how we go from 80 degree weather right to 50's and 60's with a blink of an eye.�

But, when the cooler fall weather sets in, we all know what that means, quicker ET's, and who doesn't want their car/bike/sled to go faster!!!� Well now that the rain is done and gone (thank God) enough is enough, we can look forward to the weekend and some well deserved drag racing.��We have an�exciting weekend of drag racing�in store for you at�Rock Falls Raceway�!! �I hope�you'll come out and�join us, whether it's to race or to watch!!

This is our last Muscle Car Race of the season so we hope you can make it out!!

Weather for the weekend looks GREAT -- SUNNY!!� Low to Mid�60's�for Saturday�and�Upper 60's for Sunday -- No chance of rain for the weekend!!� YIPPEE!!�

Open to All Vehicles (except those with a delay box or throttle stop).

Gates Open at 7:30 a.m.

Time Trials at 9 a.m.

Eliminations at 1 p.m. approx.

Come race for money or for trophies�-- All entries, same price,�just $40.

$40 to Race any class or just $10 to Watch!!

Race in Pro ET Money Class.��Payout is $250/Win, $100/RU; $50/Semis.� Entries of 65 or more payout increases to $500/Win; $200/RU; $100/Semis.�

Race in Street Eliminator (13.00 seconds and slower) or King of the Hill (12.99 seconds and quicker).��Win 2 rounds, win a Trophy!!�

We will also have a Free Consolation Race for anyone who loses 1st or 2nd round of their eliminator.� Payout is $100/Win; $50/RU.

Sunday, October 2 -- $40 Muscle Car Race

Open to ALL Muscle Cars !!

Gates Open at 7:30 a.m.

Time Trials at 9 a.m.

Free Consolation Race for anyone who loses 1st or 2nd round of their class.� Final 4 racers receive trophies!!� Consolation Race is run bracket race (dial-in) style.

Well the weekend is just about officially here and it's time once again for some good old fashioned Drag Racing!!

Rock Falls Raceway has a huge weekend of drag racing in store for everyone!! We hope you'll be able to join us whether it's coming out to race or just to watch!!� The weather forecast is for another SPECTACULAR weekend!!� Sunny and�78 degrees BOTH days!!� Wow!!� Can't ask for better weather than that!!� I'll take it, while it lasts, because before we know it, the temps will be falling and eventually that white stuff will be on its way!!� Shhhhhh......

IMPORTANT REMINDER TO ALL ROCK FALLS RACEWAY GOLD RUSH MEMBERS RE: ET FINALS Sept 16-18 in Brainerd, MN.

I will be handing out ET finals packets to all of you who have qualified for the ET Finals next week in Brainerd.� We do have a full�team of 36 racers plus (2 alternates) and�3 High School who will be attending�the ET finals on behalf of Rock Falls Raceway.� Just a reminder, that the�team was picked based SOLEY on your point standings, nothing else!!� The Race of Champions positions will be decided AFTER this Sunday's,�September 11 race event so if you are up there in points and have a shot at the ROC spot, you have this weekend's race�to pull out all the stops to try and secure that ROC position!!� Thanks.

Test Day starts at 9 a.m. -- $79 to Test; $20 for Crew (This INCLUDES a 2-DAY Armband)� If you are NOT staying or coming back for the race on Sunday, you just need to turn your armband in at the end of the day (Saturday) and receive $10 back when you leave.� It's just that simple!!

Jr. Dragsters -- 3 Age Groups -- Jr. Minor - Ages 8-9; Jr. Major - Ages 10-12 and Jr. Advanced - Ages 13-17!!

Jr. Dragster Testing -- Make a pass down the track at 12 noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. -- Just $30 for Car/Driver. $10/Crew.

Jr. Dragster Race: ($30 Entry for Car/Driver; Crew/$5 for age 8 & older)
Schedule is as follows:
Tech: 2:15 p.m.
Qualifying Sessions: 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Round 1 Eliminations: 4 p.m.

Rock Falls Raceway has it's�3rd Muscle Car Race of the Year tomorrow, Sunday, August 7, June 11!!

The weather looks great -- partly sunny/partly cloudy and only 76 degrees!!� Wow - a real break from the excessive heat and humidity we've been experiencing these last few weeks!!� Sounds good to me!!

This weekend is a special event but is OPEN TO EVERYONE who wants to come out and race!! We have the Wisconsin State Championship Race which has special Wally Plaques for the events winners of Jr. Dragster (to be held on Sat. July 30), Super Pro, Pro ET, King of the Hill and Street Eliminator (races to be held on Sun. July 31). These are very neat Wally Plaques!! You can have a chance to win one of these beauties, so please come on out and join us!!

Racing at Rock Falls Raceway this Weekend - Test Day, Sat Nite Spec, Jrs. & $1000 Bracket Race -- July 16/17

Well the weekend is quickly approaching�and it's time once again for some good old fashioned Drag Racing!!

Rock Falls Raceway� has a�huge weekend of drag racing in store for everyone!!��We hope you'll be able to join us whether it's coming out to race or just to watch!!

�

Here's what's on the schedule for this weekend:

�

Saturday, July 16�--��$69 Test Day, Jr. Dragsters�& Sat. Nite Special�

Test Day Runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Gates Open at 7:30 a.m.

Test Day starts at 9 a.m.

Jr. Dragsters --� 3 Age�Groups -- Jr. Minor - Ages 8-9; Jr. Major - Ages�10-12 and Jr.�Advanced�- Ages 13-17!!

Jr. Dragster Testing -- Make a pass down the track at 12 noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.� -- Just $30 for Car/Driver.� $10/Crew.

Jr. Dragster Race:�� ($30 Entry for Car/Driver; Crew/$5 for age 8 & older)
Schedule is as follows:
Tech:� 2:15 p.m.
Qualifying Sessions:� 2:45 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Round 1 Eliminations:� 4 p.m.

Free Consolation Race for any Jr. driver�who loses 1st round of competition.� All ages combined for Consolation Race.

Saturday Nite Special --�3:30 p.m.� -- �One time run and then right in to eliminations.� If you've been testing it's just $30 to enter.� If you have not, you can still race it's just $49 to enter.��Box and No Box vehicles are separated until the total field reaches 16 or less at which time they�are combined on a ladder for the final rounds of competition.� Payout is $500/Win;�$200/RU and $100/Semis for 33 cars or more 1st Rd.� (If 32 cars or less in 1st rd. payout reverts to Gambler's Format).�

Also, if you're planning to attend 5 or more Test Days throughout the 2011 racing season, think about purchasing the 5/$250!!� See Jennifer for details.� Its a $95 Savings!

Sunday, July 17�-- Bracket Drag�Race -- $1000 to Win

Open to ALL Racers (except Jr Dragsters) !!!

Gates Open at 7:00 a.m.

Time Trials at 8:30 a.m.

Eliminations at�12:30 p.m.

Come out and race in Street Eliminator, King of the Hill or the Sport Compact Class.� Win 2 rounds and win a trophy!!�� $40/Entry.

Race in Super Pro or Pro ET Money Class -- $1000 to Win!!� Payout starts 3rd Rd.

High Noon Gamblers and No Gizmo Gambler Races held in the morning for all Money Car Racers.� We also have our Run for the Money and Guts Gambler.

Trophy Cars -- We will also have the Run for the Money in the morning along with the Last Chance Eliminator Race held after 2nd round of regular eliminations.� This is for anyone who loses 1st or 2nd round of regular eliminations in Street, King or Sport Compacts.� Just $10/Entry.

Come and Watch Any Time -- Adults�$10 (13 & Older); Kids (8-12) $5; Seniors $8; Kids Under 8 FREE!!

CANCELLED -- Today, Sunday, July 10 Muscle Car Race

Well, we just can't catch a break!!� Haven't had rain in a week or more and the day we want to race, what happens, it decides to rain and rain hard with the possibility of severe weather.� We are sorry, but the rain is already here and the track is wet�at Rock Falls Raceway.� The radar and forecast says its probably going to be raining the entire morning and stuff could be building behind it.� As such, and once again, due to weather conditions beyond our control we have CANCELLED the Muscle Car Race�scheduled for today, Sunday, July 10 at Rock Falls Raceway.� Please pass the word and tell your friends or anyone you know who may have been planning to come on out.

The next Muscle Car Race is scheduled for Sunday, August 7.� We hope for better weather and that you can join us then!!

Rock Falls Raceway has it's�2nd Muscle Car Race of the Year this Sunday, July 10!!

Here's our schedule of events for this Sunday, July 10, and we certainly hope you can come out and join us!!

Sunday, July 10�-- $40 Muscle Car Race

Open to ALL Muscle Cars !!

Gates Open at 7:30 a.m.

Time Trials at 9 a.m.

Eliminations around 1 to 1:30 p.m. approx.

$40 to Race or $10 to Watch.

Eliminations conducted in 1/2 second indexes. Win 2 rounds, win a trophy!!

Free Consolation Race for anyone who loses 1st or 2nd round of their class. Final 4 racers receive trophies!! Consolation Race is run bracket race (dial-in) style.

Come Watch Any Day for Just $10!!
