Brooklyn Hop continues her winning ways in Jr Dragster competition, earning her fifth career championship in the 2025 Jr Thunder category.
Hop, of Andover MN, races in the Jr Thunder class at Rock Falls Raceway. The 2025 racing season saw a wire to wire championship, as Hop won the first two events of the season and never trailed in the championship hunt. “I didn’t even realize that I lead the points in the Jr Thunder category from the beginning until now”, said Hop. “I try not to pay close attention to the points, I just go out and focus on winning every round I stage up for”. Hop claimed three total victories through the season to finish seven rounds ahead of second place Hayden Hanson. Hop finished the season with three event wins, three final round appearances, and 24 round wins.

While the end result was a championship, Hop looked back on a season of learning. After celebrating her 10th birthday, her family upgraded from the 11.90 package to a faster 8.90 motor for the 2025 season, which brought it’s own challenges. “The difference in speed between last year and this year is incredible. Going so much faster means there’s less time to make decisions when racing, and you have to be sharper. It was a great challenge that I enjoyed practicing and learning as the season went on.” We’ll say you did a great job Brookyln!

When she isn’t tearing up the 1/8 mile track, Brooklyn enjoys getting away from the fast life to enjoy a variety of hobbies. Brooklyn is an avid reader and participant in her Church’s Youth Group. Additionally, Brookyln has taken up the violin and practices often…at least when she isn’t playing with her dog, Cam!

Through the support of great companies like Travis from the Jagerguys Bar, Sgt. Hot Wheels himself Joe Hawkins, and Mike and Don Kritzky with KGB Engine & Performance. Brooklyn also gave a heartfelt thank you to her parents, Jason and Tessa, as well as her awesome grandparents, great uncle and aunt, and the Amos family! Hop will undoubtably continue turning on win lights for the foreseeable future. Hop plans to continue into the Jr Thunder class, but someday hopes to compete in the NHRA Pro Stock category alongside fan favorite Erica Enders. Until she moves onto that venture, she’ll assuredly be a competitor for the season championships for years to come! Congratulations to Brooklyn Hop, your 2025 Rock Falls Raceway Jr Thunder Champion!
