This weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the Summit Racing Equipment ET World Championship presented by Hoosier Racing Tires will be held October 30 - November 1st. This race takes the winners from all of NHRA's Division Champions to one location to race off for the World Championship. RFR has claimed a world championship in the past alongside motorcycle competitor Jeff Lanoue and has sent dozens of racers to battle for 'The World'. We are crossing our fingers that we add two more names soon, proudly sending two accomplished racers out west for a chance this year, with both Pat Finder (Motorcycle) and Shawn Anderson (Sportsman) fighting for the honors.

Finder, out of Tripoli IA, made RFR his home track this year alongside some Neal. He started the season off with a bang, posting a win and runner-up at the first two events, and used consistent late round finishes to secure the track championship. While the Race of Champions at Tri-State Raceway didn't go his way, he used that same consistency throughout eliminations at the ET Finals to secure the victory. Across six rounds of eliminations, Finder's WORST reaction time was a .020!

'Big Block' Shawn Anderson, Eau Claire, has been a regular competitor at RFR for decades now. The local engine builder has run a slew of cars throughout his time, with his trusty Camaro being a regular in late round appearances. Double entering at the ET finals in his Camaro and his original high school car, a Chevelle, Shawn found himself in the winner's circle on that fateful Monday punching a ticket to go to Las Vegas for the world championship.

Folks wanting to follow along with the escapades of Finder and Anderson can stay tuned to our social media channels where we'll provide updates, as well as follow live through NHRA's live timing and nhra.tv streaming service.

Best of luck to you both!!
