Rheinschmidt’s Championship Season was One for the Ages

Todd Rheinschmidt has been racing since the 1980s. An accomplished racer across the northern states, he didn’t start turning his attention towards points racing until the early 2000s. Like many drivers, always aiming for a championship fight, this season took a turn for the positive.

Rheinschmidt, living in Mosinee WI, started the season strong and never relented on the Super Pro racers of RFR. Getting to the final round in a split and quit at the first event, Todd used consistent late round finishes and two event victories to bolster a massive 624 points total and 31 round wins to walk away with the 2025 Super Pro
Championship over Dalton Johnson (2nd place) and Jason Hop (3rd place).

Looking back on an incredible season, Todd’s ET Finals was his favorite moment. “Winning the Summit Racing Equipment Race of Champions at the ET Finals was an awesome deal. In a race that takes the champs in Super Pro from across the division to race off, every racer is a proven hitter. You have to be on your ‘A’ game for each round. Fortunately I was on it, going low .00s for each reaction time to get the win and the Wally. As cool as the win was, getting ready for the winner’s circle picture and seeing all of the team come up the staging lanes to get into the photo was priceless. I love that photo so much, and will always treasure that!” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves Todd!

When not turning on ‘double-oh’ lights on the starting line, Todd is an avid outdoorsman and pool aficionado. Regular trips to the cabin his father built in the 50s that’s nestled in Minocqua for hunting and fishing keep the couple busy, as well as competing in local and state level tournaments for pool keep his mind sharp and ready for the next adventure.

While Todd doesn’t have any sponsors to thank (though he is taking applications!), Todd wanted to thank all of his friends and family for their support in his seasoned racing journey. “It takes a village to get to and from the dragstrip every weekend. I’m fortunate with my beautiful girlfriend Lori for her support, and friends like Chad Lynch to help support me. All of the friends and extended family I’ve made in racing along the way help me all the time. Even the people I don’t know too well, racing against the best of the best (at Rock) makes me a better driver, and the competition is just as much fun as the comradery we have off the track!”

Congratulations to your 2025 Rock Falls Raceway Super Pro Champion, Todd Rheinschmidt!
