Under crisp sunny skies, the Inaugural Amber Green Drags was held this last weekend. Featuring cars from 1966-1979, motorsports fans joined together to celebrate the early years of Rock Falls Raceway back to it’s founding as Amber Green Dragway. Hosting two days of car show, swap meet, and drag racing action, eliminations were completed in a variety of categories. In addition, we were rewarded with a new visitor to the facility! Pete Frank, son of the Dr Ralph Frank (founder of Amber Green Dragway), was in attendance Saturday for the first time since 1979. We were honored to award him as the Grand Marshal for the event, and appreciated his time and attendance.
Congratulations to all winners!
